How to Wash Swimsuits
To make sure your new swimsuit stays vibrant follow these easy care instructions:
1. Rinse your swimsuit with fresh cool water as soon as you come out of the ocean or pool. Even if you avoid the water follow these instructions after sun-tanning. Saltwater, chlorine, sun-tan products and sweat break down the elasticity of your swimsuit. Rinse it off immediately after wearing.
2. Wash your bathing suit in cold water with a swimsuit cleaner designed for swimwear. Never use laundry detergent. It will break down the elastic fabric of your swimsuit. Use Soak Wash. It's eco-friendly, made in Canada, and sulphate free. It also comes in a variety of yummy scents.
3. After washing, rinse your swimsuit in cold water and gently squeeze out excess water. Never wring or twist your bathing suit because it's hard on the elasticity of the fabric.
4. Lay your swimwear in the shade to dry.
Note: Avoid putting a wet or dirty bathing suit into a bag for a long period of time. If necessary, leave it out to dry after you have rinsed it until you can wash it with swimsuit cleaner.
